Rome Travel Itinerary: My 5-Day Trip

Rome has always been a dream destination for me. I have been fascinated with the Romans ancient history and with Christianity’s adoption and usurpation of and hatred towards Paganism. As the previous Caput Mundi (capital of the world), Rome is dotted with treasures, ancient ruins, myths and legends; Making the city unlike any other. I based my Rome Travel Itinerary on a trip I recently did, and it’ll show you what you can do in Rome in just five days. Having five days in Rome is a great way to get a feel of the city’s mysteries and glamour and is certainly enough time to see everything. However, I’d recommend…

Egypt Travel Bucket List | Spectacular Sites

Like all my others, my Egypt Travel Bucket List has been steadily growing over the years. There is an endless array of spectacular landmarks and experiences just waiting for you in Egypt. But because of everything that has happened there, many travellers have been too afraid to visit. Whilst some areas in Egypt are deemed unsafe, the British government estimated 415,000 British nationals visited Egypt in 2018 and most visits were trouble-free. When I went to Egypt a few years ago, I managed to check some incredible, once-in-a-lifetime adventures off my Egypt Travel Bucket List. I took a cruise down the Nile River, visited a plethora of temples that had…

    Bath Travel Bucket List Challenge

So, why did I create my Bath Travel Bucket List? Well, next month is a huge month for me. I will no longer be an English undergraduate at the University of Nottingham; Instead, I will be moving to my favourite city in the U. K., Bath. I will be starting my first job, embarking on a new life, and hopefully making new friends. I’ll be searching for exciting new things to do in one of the most beautiful and charming cities in England. But one thing I really don’t want to do is get absorbed or lost in the working world of Bath. I don’t want to miss out on…

    Oxford Travel Bucket List

This summer has been pretty incredible, so far. I have been lucky enough to go back to Oxford and see some unforgettable things the city has to offer. I was so captured by my trip I wanted to create my Oxford Travel Bucket List to inspire others to explore the city and to remind myself to discover more of Oxford. When I go out on day trips, weekend breaks or even longer trips, I find it is easy to get swept up in the excitement and wonder of a new place that I either forget to visit important, once-in-a-lifetime sites or that I run out of time to do everything…

Things to do in Oxford | One Day Itinerary

Oxford, Oxfordshire is definitely one of the most famous and charming cities in the United Kingdom. Is the hype overrated? Heck, NO! There are a plethora of things to do in Oxford for people of all ages and with a train, bus and car access, it is the perfect city for a hassle-free day trip from whatever part of England you’re in. The last time I was in Oxford, I spent the entire day attending the university’s Open Day. I went to all the English and History lectures, worrying about which college I’d end up applying to. In the end, I didn’t go to the University of Oxford, so ultimately…

    My Ultimate Travel Bucket List

What Inspired Me To Create My Ultimate Travel Bucket List? So why did I create my ultimate travel bucket list? First, for as long as I can remember, I have wanted to travel the world. Some say that is because of my Aquarius nature but I have a sneaky feeling it is because of my family. My parents have travelled to some amazing places like Bangkok, Africa, India, Vietnam and Bali (to name but a few) and the stories they told and pictures they showed awoke something within me. I can only describe it as a hunger to travel or a calling, which believe me I know sounds cheesy or…

Whilst it has been over 200 years since the death of Jane Austen, the city of Bath has certainly not forgotten her. The Georgian architecture, which is the same as when Jane walked the streets, make the city feel like it is frozen in time. It is this visual grandeur that makes it easy to see why Bath sparked an unrivalled inspiration for her novels.  What Is Jane Austen’s Connections To Bath? The queen of wit and satire, the genius behind the nation’s beloved Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, Northanger Abbey and…

The Savoy Hotel, Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt

Before going on holiday all I ever heard for months was ‘be careful out there… the heat is unbearable… make sure you wear sun cream’. In all honesty, I thought these people were just being rather hyperbolic and trying to scare me. I thought I had been abroad before, so I’m an experienced trooper I’ll be fine. Right? Gosh, was I wrong! Upon landing, I remember thinking the concept I had of ‘heat’ did not match up to Egypt’s climate. We arrived at our hotel, The Four Seasons, around midnight. It was, to my surprise, still around 36 degrees and the humidity was increasing. I can’t say if this was…
